7th & 8th Grade Symphonic Band

1)  It has been a wonderful year making music in band.  Think of how far you have come this year and it is exciting to think about next year already.  Some of you will become part of the finest high school band program in the state and you 7th graders will now become the leaders of next year’s band.  I look forward to working with you next year.

2) Please continue to practice over the summer. 4 or 5 days  a week for 25 minutes or so will keep you in shape for September. Work on some fun music you can buy at Motter's but also work on lip slurs, scales and finger exercises. Have a great summer!!

 

                                                                         

Every concept we teach in band is done orally.  Your child MUST LISTEN and PAY ATTENTION in class in order to know what to practice at home.  They must learn to play correctly now or it will be uphill to fix later.
