About all there is to success in life is making promises and keeping them-promises to others-promises to yourself.

1.  Welcome back to another school year.  As we begin this year, make a promise to make it your best school year yet.  Try your hardest each day, wake up in the morning and tell yourself you're going to have a great day.  Come to school each day willing and wanting to learn something new.  Have a good time with your friends and make lasting memories this year.

2.  If you have not played your instrument much this summer,  please do so now.  Make sure your instrument is in good working order before the start of school.

3.  6th graders make sure you have a 1 1/2 inch 3 ring binder with 30 sheet protector windows.  7th and 8th grade Symphonic band members will need 48 windows in their binder.

4.***Your child will be bringing home a band handbook for the 2008-09 school year.  Please read it carefully and return the parent/student  sign-off sheet and the volunteer sign-up
