Mr. Bennett's Bio
Christopher Bennett is beginning his ninth year of teaching in the Ida Public Schools. In addition to local festivals and other performances the Ida Bands have been to England and Florida twice under his direction.
He grew up in Northeast Ohio and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and Master's Degree in Music Performance from Youngstown State University.
He has performed in several ensembles including the Flint Symphony Orchestra, the Warren Chamber Orchestra, the W.D. Packard Concert Band, and the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra. His marching performance experience include participation in the Canton Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps and the Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps.
He has instructed many high school drumlines, the Youngstown State University Drumline, the Westminster College Drumline, and the Warren Junior Military Band.
Mr. Bennett teaches the Fifth Grade Brass and Percussion Class, the Seventh-Twelfth Grade Bands, the Ida Marching Band, the Ida Jazz Band, and "Cacophony" (the Ida Percussion Ensemble).
