Ida Band

The Ida Jazz Band rehearses twice a week before school. The group performs a variety of styles of music including jazz standards, pop tunes, and original compositions. In addition to involvement in regularly scheduled band concerts, the Jazz Band performs at several local venues, prepares a float for the Christmas In Ida Light Parade, performs at the Matthes Christmas Tree Farm, and is a participant in the Ida Public Schools' annual Evening of the Arts.

Each spring, members of the jazz band select an outstanding member to be awarded with the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. Past recipients of the award:
