2006-2007 Jerome Band Highlights
74 performances -- 21 bus trips -- 1900 miles -- 204 members!
New director of bands hired April 19, 2006.
First flag team rehearsals in June (thank you, Lohnes family!)
First rehearsals for the marching band – July 24.
First performance: Jerome County Fair Parade, August 1.
First field show performance: Varsity football game (JHS 35, Twin Falls 34, OT).
Enrollment in beginning band = 80 sixth graders!
Enrollment in varsity band up 20% each trimester from May roster numbers.
Entire field show premiered October 4 at JV FB game (“Band… Jerome Band…”).
“Ambush Of Tigers” marching unit travels to Ontario, Oregon for the Battle Of The Marching Machines, places second in small band classification.
“Ambush” places fourth in small band class at ISU, second in District IV by less than one point to Burley HS.
Middle school band trips bowling, skating, and pizza.
Six high school members perform with District IV Honor Band in Twin Falls.
Sixth grade Beginning Band performs twice for Central Elementary School.
Pep Band performs at 25 basketball games from November to February.
First concert broadcast on the Internet January 23 by all four concert bands.
“Ambush Of Tigers”, Pep Band, and Color Guard all perform for Middle School.
Fifteen 7th & 8th grade band members perform with District IV Middle School Honor Band in Twin Falls.
Mr. Smith voted president-elect of the Idaho District IV Music Educators Association.
JHS Pep Band makes four trips to Burley for basketball playoffs.
Over two thousand dollars contributed to Ambush 2007 field show production by local businesses.
Twenty-two students perform at District IV Solo-Ensemble Festival.
WinterGuard performs at home basketball, Idaho Falls and CSI competitions, Tigermania.
Dallas Brass sign to perform for, rehearse with, and put on a clinic for our band next January.
Eighth Grade Concert Band performs for fifth grade class.

District IV Middle School Festival at Jerome HS May 2 (run by the HS band and choir members) -- Superior rating for the Beginning Band, Excellent ratings for the Intermediate and Concert Bands.
