Directors

MR. CLIFF MOORE -- DIRECTOR OF BANDS
Mr. Cliff Moore is in his seventh year as the Director of Bands for the Nettleton School District .  Under Mr. Moore’s leadership, the Nettleton High School Band has earned superior ratings at state and local competitions, including the Best in Class award at the 2006 Chunky River Small Band Classic, a top-ten finish in the 2006 MHSAA Class 3A Marching Band Championships, and all-superior ratings in the concert portion of the 2009 MHSAA State Concert Band Festival.
 
Mr. Moore is an honor graduate of Tupelo HS, Itawamba CC, and the University of Mississippi .  He is a multi-year member of the Mississippi Lions’ All-State Band.  He has performed with the Tupelo Symphony Orchestra, Tupelo Symphonic Winds, North Mississippi Repertory Jazz Orchestra, Stars Over Mississippi Orchestra, and many other local and regional ensembles.  Mr. Moore is constantly in demand as a consultant, adjudicator, and performer across the Mid-South.
 
Mr. Moore is a member of the Mississippi Bandmasters’ Association, Northeast Mississippi Band Directors’ Association, Northeast Mississippi Junior High Band Directors’ Association (which he currently serves as President), Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. 
  
In his (limited) free time, Mr. Moore enjoys golf, travel, cooking, and Chicago Cubs baseball.
