Director
Sarah Vogel is a Fort Morgan native and earned a B.M. and M.M. in Music Education from Colorado State University. She has taught for six years and has experience teaching general music, band, jazz band, and choir. She currently teaches band to 5th-12th grade students in Sterling. The Sterling High School Marching Bands have earned many awards in parade competitions, including the CSU Parade competition and the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade. They have marched at Disneyland, Epcot Center, Sea World and Hawaii. The Sterling High School Marching Band has also performed the National Anthem at a Colorado Rockies game. In addition, Sterling bands have a long standing reputation of receiving superior ratings at CHSAA large group festivals. Mrs. Vogel is a member of CMEA (Colorado Music Educators Association), MENC (the National Association for Music Education), CBA (Colorado Bandmasters Association). She currently performs with Eastern Colorado Trombone Quartet and other performing groups in the area.
