Congratulations to the Watertown High School Wind Ensemble for their first place trophy and score of 96 at the Golden Crescent Pageant of Bands!

The performance was spectacular and your sightreading was AMAZING!

On April 28 & 29, 2006 nearly 50 band members participated in the NYSSMA Solo Festival held at Watertown High School.  These students chose to prepare a solo on a brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument.

We are very proud of everyone who participated but would like to acknowledge two 9th grade musicians who received perfect scores on their solos.  Your hard work paid off!

Jenny Hearne Flute   Level 6/100

An adjudicator rated each student based on the standards set by the New York State School Music Association.  Each student received written comments and a score from the judge.  Based on these scores, students may become eligible for the Bi-County Band, Area All State and for some,
All State.

Four students performed with the United States Air Force Band of Liberty on April 10, 2006, under the baton of Major Larry Lang.  They performed one of Henry Fillmore's greatest and most-performed marches, "His Honor" with the Air Force Band of Liberty at the Watertown High School Auditorium that evening.
